Hoops series reading order
The three main Hoops novels by Kennedy Ryan can be read alone. If you want publication order, start with Long Shot. Book 2 is Block Shot, not a sequel you must have finished the first book to follow. Hook Shot is book 3.

The series record counts 3 primary works and 13 works in total. The extras include Hoops Christmas Shorts, Fast Break, bonus epilogues for each novel, and a box set. Goodreads files Hoops Shorts as a collection spanning about 2.5 to 3.5. I would read the three novels first, then the shorts, because the shorts assume you know the couples. The author’s own order page was unreadable on the day I checked, so this sequence is publication order plus the Goodreads numbering.

- Block Shot follows Jared Foster, August’s stepbrother, and Banner Morales.
- Hook Shot follows Kenan Ross and Lotus DuPree, Iris’s cousin.
- Those leads appear in Long Shot before they get their own books. You can still start on book 2 or 3.
